MENTORING
In Anna’s career as an editor on newspaper feature desks, she commissioned and edited some of the UK’s most well-known writers. She knows what makes a good story.
As a ghostwriter, she has written more than ten narrative non-fiction books and memoirs. Some of which became Sunday Times bestsellers, one was a BBC Radio Four Book of the Week, and another was listed for one of the most highly-regarded political writing prizes in the country, The Orwell Prize.
She has extensive experience as an essayist, memoirist and novelist, and holds an MA in Creative Writing (Prose Fiction) from the acclaimed master’s programme at the University of East Anglia.
She is the founder of the White Ink Writing School, and a fellow of the Royal Literary Fund.
If you are interested in working one-to-one with Anna on your own project, she offers openings for mentoring and manuscript assessments throughout the year.
One-to-one work, which involves a close-read of your work, annotations, and a zoom meeting to discuss thoughts and ideas that would elevate it, costs:
£175 to read and annotate up to 2,500 words with a 30-minute zoom.
£275 to read and annotate up to 5,000 words with a 45-minute zoom.
Discounts are available for those who book multiple sessions.
Manuscript assessments start at £595 for up to 40,000 words.
Manuscript assessments include two close-readings of your work, a report of around 4,000 words, two short (20-minute) meetings to discuss it, and one longer meeting of one hour to go through her thoughts and ideas on how to make your work the very best it can be.
